Hawthorn & Folly - Romantic Vase

The shape of this Romantic Vase is inspired by a Dutch gable. It is a solid hand-built piece, with cut-out holes running along the top to arrange stems of flowers. The rim of the vase is slip-trailed with a relief-dotted detail. The Hawthorn branches are decorated with a resist technique, which gives them a lovely graphic feel and contrasts with the hand-painted elements. The central illustration is a painting of a pink folly with a woman and her whippet.
