Thorn & Folly - Romantic Vase

This Romantic Vase is a solid hand-built piece, with cut-out holes running along the top to arrange stems of flowers. The rim and base of the vase are decorated with a slip-trailed, relief detail. The central illustration is a painting of a flint Dutch gable folly, with a woman and her whippet alongside a hissing swan. The surrounding decoration is painted with thorn branches with roses and leaves.
