Cobalt Whippet Plate
A medium sized ceramic platter. This piece is an amalgamation of my two ceramic techniques. The Whippet figure has been sketched out on paper and cut out with a scalpel blade. Once I have rolled out the clay and created the plate, I then adhere the paper whippet to the plate and paint over top with a pigmented slip. Once dry I then peel the paper away to reveal the paper resist whippet silhouette. This piece is then glazed with my Tin glaze, decorated with Cobalt, Rutile and fired for a second time.

Please note: This is a second/test piece. Therefore it is strictly decorative use only. Care: Please wipe clean and never place into a dishwasher.
